Meet Our Versatile Instructor: Riemke Pretorius!
Get ready to make music with Mrs. Riemke Pretorius, a passionate and multi-talented instructor at NW Musikon, specializing in Piano, Recorder, and Theory of Music! Riemke’s musical journey took off after high school when she joined an A Capella choir under the brilliant direction of Elize Rautenbach, embarking on various national tours and further expanding her choral experience with SUKOVS.
In 1985, Riemke began an impressive career with the SAPS, where she not only became a valued member of the Freestate Police Orchestra but also ascended to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel after completing a 3-year qualification from Pantechnicon Africa!
Her unwavering love for music led her to achieve a Bachelor of Musicology Degree from the University of South Africa. Demonstrating her commitment to education, she then earned her Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of the Free State, equipping her to teach a variety of school subjects, including—of course—music!
Mrs. Pretorius brought her wealth of experience and infectious enthusiasm to NW Musikon in 2016. Come discover the joy of music with her!
