The flute is perhaps the best known member of the woodwind family and flute solos are among the most magical moments in orchestral music. Through the development of 19th century, the concert flute as we know it today, came to exist. It is capable of playing both soaring romantic lines as well as lightning fast virtuosic music.
Our very own “flute-o-holic”, Mariska van der Merwe trained under one of the best known flautists – Gyorgy Sandor Fazakas for a number of years. Her talent and passion for the flute, assures that you will be equipped with the finest of skills to assure you take flight with the flute.
