About Us
The NWM Symphony Orchestra is undoubtably the crown jewel of the NW Musikon. Consisting of more than 35 musicians of all age groups, the orchestra brings together both teachers and musicians from around the KOSH area. Serving as a creative hub for many.

The NWM Symphony is a new project that was launched in 2022. Having its roots in the amalgamation of both the NWM’s Symphonix Orchestra & Zephyros Symphonic Winds, the NWM Symphony Orchestra performs an eclectic mix of musical genres – from classical to contemporary. The mission of the orchestra is to educate and enrich the lives of its members – all while providing them with unique challenges, which they always overcome.
Unique Opportunities
Members of the NWM Symphony have the opportunity to perform on both Provincial & National level for the Department of Basic Education’s SASCE competition.
Education in Practice
As a member of the NWM Symphony, young players are often introduced to musical styles and repertoire that they would normally not have access to. The Orchestra enriches and develops the player holistically.

The NWM Symphony provides musicians with ample opportunity to perform in a variety of spaces. From a classical performance in Ventersdorp to our very own Symphony in Style evening.
