Meet Danie Blom: Your Drumming Rockstar!
Get ready to rock and roll with Danie Blom, one of NW Musikon’s dynamic instructors, specializing in drumkit and acoustic guitar! Danie’s lifelong passion for music began at the vibrant age of 11, diving straight into both instruments. He quickly became a dedicated student at NW Musikon himself, honing his skills on the drumkit, guitar, and piano.
Danie’s commitment to excellence shines through his achievements; in 2024, he successfully obtained his Grade 7 in drumkit from Trinity College London. And he’s not stopping there! Mr. Blom is currently working towards his Grade 8 in drumkit while also pursuing his B.Ed Intermediate Phase Education degree, combining his love for performance with a dedication to teaching.
In 2019, he joined the NW Musikon as part-time percussion instructor, and soon thereafter proved himself invaluable, leading to his appointment in 2023. Mr. Blom is currently the head of percussion.
